TRAINING PLANS FOR WALKERS

Important note: If you are new to exercise, are over 40, or have any health concerns be sure to check with a physician before beginning any training program.

Basic Training Info for Marathon Walkers - Before beginning a training plan read this basic training info.

Half Marathon Training Plan - Easy to follow beginners half marathon plan and a plan for the more experienced walker.

Marathon Training Plan - Basic marathon training plan for walkers currently walking 5 to 6 days a week with a minimum of 20 miles per week.

Beginner Marathon - If you have been walking less than 6 months, or currently doing less mileage choose the beginners' plan.

Advanced Marathon Plan - Advanced walkers that are currently doing more miles, and have participated in previous endurance training.

Maintenance Plan - What to do between marathons.
